This Painful and Heavy Periods Yoni Steam is made with an organic herbal blend of blue cohosh, shepherd’s purse, st john’s wort, motherwort, rose, chamomile, raspberry leaf, crampbark, and calendula.

This can also be used as a tea during menstruation when you have a heavy cycle.
1-2 teaspoons in 8-10 oz of hot water. Steep for 10-15 minutes. You can reuse the herbs for a second cup but it won’t be as strong.

Benefits of a Yoni Steam Include:

Helps to reduce painful periods and cramping.

Supports the healing process of the uterus after childbirth and can help with vaginal tearing.
Vaginal dryness and painful intercourse.

Nourishes and tones the uterine well.
The steam helps to clean out any residue making it easier for eggs to attach to the wall of the uterus.

Directions:

Bring a pot of water to boil and add the bag of herbs. Keep the lid on the pot and simmer the herbs for 10 minutes. Remove the pot from heat and let the pot cool for 5 minutes. You can steam in several ways: sitting on a yoni steam stool with the pot under the stool; cushion the ground with towels, sit on your knees with your pelvis hovering over the pot and arms placed in front to stabilize your body (like child’s pose in yoga); or bring two chairs side by side, put the pot in between, sit over the pot; or you can also use a 5 gallon bucket with a seat on top. Drape a big sheet, blanket, or towel around you to contain the heat. The steam is hot! Be careful to not burn yourself. Check the steam before getting into place to make sure it isn’t too hot. Recommend to steam for 20-30 minutes. Stay covered and keep yourself warm. This is a good time for mediation and self-reflection. I also recommend having a warm cup of tea nearby. Recommended to steam 2 times a month.
