Essential Oil and Herb Class Sunday January 24th from 12-4 :
Aromatherapy class (Essential Oils) and Herbal Class taught by Erin Ethier, owner of Earthly Remedies. First Workshop/Class will start out covering the basics of Essential oils. We will then move into the popular oils and discuss what their uses and benefits are and how you would use them. We will touch base on some other oils that have great healing properties and benefits but maybe not ones that you are familiar with. You will have the opportunity to make up your own room spray OR an essential oil roll-on bottle that you can take home with you. You will learn how to use essential oils in cleaning.
Second part of the workshop/class will focus on herbs. We will talk about herbs that are both native and non-native to our area. Ones that are easy to grow and maybe even some that you have growing in your backyard that you aren’t aware of. All of these herbs have medicinal properties!!!! Come and learn what they are. I will show you how to make an herbal salve that you will go home with as well. You will leave with handouts and recipes. I will teach you about herbal tinctures as well.
Topics that will be discussed for herbs and oils will include:
Natural Pain Relief/Arthritis/Swelling/Bruising
Skin Problems and skin care
The class will cost $60 per person (Class size no more than 10, so sign up early). $30 deposit is due December 1st to hold your spot. The remaining $30 is due the day of class. Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can start on time.

Earthly Remedies makes all natural organic hand salves, hand creams, baby products, pet products, wool dryer balls (made with local wool) and more. They are made with products such as beeswax (of which I use most of my own), organic shea butter, organic cocoa butter, a variety of organic essential oils, and organic herbs that I grow myself. I am committed to providing products that are 100% natural and 100% chemical free, and mostly all organic (which means no petroleum, no preservatives, no parabens, no GMO's, no synthetic fragrances, and no stabilizers). All products are safe to use on children and pets. I make everything in small batches and fresh to order.
I was diagnosed about 12 years ago with MS and ever since then I decided I had to take care of myself and that meant changing how I eat and what I expose myself to. That is what really started this journey for me. At the same time I had my first son and then 3 years later had my second son. My youngest ended up having a bunch of health problems and I found that making my own products for him seemed to help a lot of the issues. I stopped buying cleaning products, lotions, bubble baths, and soaps. I simplified things a lot and started making most of my own products just for our family. As you can see that grew into what has become Earthly Remedies!
I have taken online herbal classes with Rosemary Gladstar. I have taken online essential oil classes with Jessie Hawkins and also attended online essential oil summits and continue to do other herbal training as well. I have listened to many others speak and have self taught myself and through my family and friends I have learned the majority of what I know. What I love about herbalism is that I am always learning, the plants are such a gift.
I am also a non certified organic gardener. I grow most of my own veggies that I put up for the winter along with a lot of the herbs that I use in many of my products. We are vegetarian and raise our own chickens for eggs, and we have a couple of beehives. I do sell our extra produce and eggs along with fresh herbs throughout the summer as they are available.
If you are looking for a natural, chemical-free, product that won't harm your body or the environment then you will be happy with your choice to support Earthly Remedies. I stand by my products 100%, and if they prove to be unsatisfactory I will provide you with a replacement.
Do you suffer from headaches? Try my lavender roll-on or the peppermint roll-on for migraines, cough/cold try my chest rub or my breathe deeper salve, dry skin such as eczema, psoriasis try the all-purpose salve which has Helichrysum oil in it. Are you expecting or do you have a baby- all my baby products are safe to use with cloth diapering. Does your dog have fleas or maybe gets Ticks try my Tick Flick'r it is pesticide-free!! Check out the next couple of pages to see what Earthly Remedies has to offer.
I grow most of my herbs on my property. The ones I can't grow or the ones I run out of, I purchase for highly reputable companies or local sources that I highly trust. I have 2 beehives and I use the beeswax from their hives in the products that I make, when I run out I purchase beeswax from a local source.
